Today is such a good day. FAN ART FROM VERA BROSGOL! ♥
[p.s. checking out the mini-poster print options.]
Some MoCCA programming has been announced!
On Sunday, April 6, 1:00 – 2:00, I will be “in conversation” with my good friend Ryan Sands! I hope it can be less a “tell me about your life” talk and more a real conversation about broader topics like creative communities, the internet, collaborations, anthologies, trends, and our upcoming projects (including Ryan’s new publishing house YOUTH IN DECLINE). And, of course, lots questions from the audience.
There will be signings on both days, I think. I don’t know the times for that yet though. I’ll tell you when I find out. I will have some SMMA minis for you to buy!
[Note: the fee to get into the festival is $12 to pre-order, $15 at the door. Hopefully they’ll greatly reduce/abolish the entrance fee in the next few years, but for now, it is what it is. Don’t want anyone to show up and be surprised.]
Dogwalker
A killed illustration, completely unrelated to the focus of this blog but perhaps one that you will enjoy
Not technically SMMA, but there is something (unintentionally) Everlasting Boy-ish about this picture, I thought. It’s actually a sketch for this piece, which ran in the New York Times a few weeks ago. You can follow my illustration exploits on that WordPress blog if you’re so inclined.
Unconfirmed Reports are that SuperMutant Magic Academy won an Ignatz brick. Thank-you, SPX voters!
I make these comics for fun, as a break from my usual nitpicky illustration and graphic novel work. I’m glad you enjoy them too.
Also, I watched Battle Royale yesterday.
CHEDDAR FAN ART! By Kurt McRobert!
I’m going to yank the link for the SMMA mini in about an hour. Buy now or forever hold your peace.
